A CALL FOR ENTRIES
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 30 April 2018 at 17h00
EXHIBITION DATE: 17 May 2018
Orms Cape Town School of Photography is pleased to invite members of the public to submit work to the forthcoming Laugh it Off retrospective. Laugh it Off is best known for their subversive t-shirts, which use satire to expose corporate greed, corruption and fraught racial relations. The company’s collaboration with known photographer Obie Oberholzer also resulted in the publication of a cheeky wall calendar in 2008.
In following this tradition, we invite works that offer a satirical response to contemporary social and political issues in South Africa. There are no limits in terms of the media used, and the printing of selected works will be sponsored by the school. The prints are the contributor’s to keep.
All entries are to be submitted by Friday, 20 April 2018 at 17h00. (Deadline can be extended but by emailing email@example.com)
