Cape Town Carnival Photo Walk

Orms Cape Town School of Photography and the Cape Town Carnival bring you a photowalk opportunity that is bursting with colour and entertainment.

Directed by an experienced photographer you will be afforded the opportunity to photograph the behind the scenes of the Cape Town Carnival. A photography experience that will include the opportunity to visually capture the extravagant parade floats and portraits of dazzling performers preparing for the parade.

Once you have weaved through the decorated spectators, firefighters, dancers and buskers, you will head to the media stand for an exclusive view of the vibrant parade.

There are only 10 spots available on this photowalk. Book your spot now!

A NOTE FROM YOUR PHOTO-GUIDE:

Less is more.

You will be moving between locations and crowds. You want to remain safe and comfortable with what you are carrying with you through the day. Bring only the essentials. Wear comfortable shoes. A hat and sunscreen is not a bad idea. You will be provided with an on-the-go snack pack to keep you energised and hydrated.

The theme of the Carnival is Vuka Ukhanye (Rise and Shine). Feel free to dress in the spirit of the carnival but make sure you are comfortable.

Gear Requirements:

  • Camera
  • fully charged battery
  • A spare battery ( fully charged)
  • Zoom lens (versatile for an array of subjects)

You are welcome to consult with your photo guide on your lens choice.

Extras:

  • Speedlite flash
  • Spare batteries for flash— fully charged
