This book is a remarkable pictorial autobiography of 39 years of wildlife veterinary work carried out in 14 different African countries and globally. Photographs drive the journey and should be an inspiration to anyone who has an adventurous spirit and wishes to learn more about the nitty and gritty of conservation fieldwork.

About Dr Michael Kock

Dr. Michael Kock was born in South Africa but grew up in Zimbabwe where the seeds were sown for his love of the wilderness and the natural world. Going on to study abroad in the UK and USA, he found his calling with a residency that kick-started his 39-year wildlife veterinary career. He currently lives in Greyton in the Overberg.
